I found it easy to reach back and grab my seat belt without looking back or turning from my waist or shoulders. My only reservation is I feel it could be painful for those with arthritic hands, and a simple design change would make it more comfortable for those suffering from arthritis. I felt the device spread my fingers apart, and a better design would have the arm rotated 90 degrees from the handle.
It's a good idea to have more than one included as a set, but I don't understand why they come in three different sizes. If the product is redesigned to offset the arm 90 degrees from the handle, I think one size is sufficient.
I got this tool to help my husband who recently had shoulder surgery. He had trouble twisting to reach for the seatbelt so this device has made that task easy to conquer and keep his independents. This seatbelt catcher is great for pregnant women and the elderly. I wish I had this when I was pregnant it would have made my life a bit easier.
Before this innovative little piece of plastic, my wife had to help with my seatbelt in the car. Shoulder pain prevented me from easily reaching the seatbelt. I know these things are cheap to make, and there is a lot of profit in small plastic devices. But, these things are a life saver, and well worth the cost. Thanks.
Seatbelt Catcher
I have elderly parents and a younger sister who has shoulder problems. I purchased these in hopes that they would help with their struggles of trying to reach an almost impossible reach for those who do not have much mobility. At first it took both my parents and sister a few times to get acclimated to using the hooks. But now they are pros and say they don’t know what they would do without it! I highly recommend these for all who struggle trying to reach back for their seat belt!
